What do I need to bring for the match?
Before the match, download and read through the latest version of the rule book. Since we’re a new sport, it’s still constantly evolving. We’re striving to keep matches simple and fun to shoot, so it’s short and sweet.
If you’re new to action shooting and haven’t had much experience working from holsters, the best thing to do is take your time and pay extra close attention to the Range Officer’s instructions, and ask lots of questions.
If you’re not confident working from a holster, you’re welcome to bring your firearm to the line unloaded and cased, and start from a low ready. There is a 3 second handicap penalty for unholstered starts.
All shooters must attend the safety meeting at the beginning of the match. Late arriving competitors will not be allowed to shoot without prior approval from the Match Director.
All competitors are encouraged to help set up and tear down, and should help out in scoring, pasting and resetting the range between shooters. Competitors are also safety officers and should help match staff be aware of potential safety issues.
With everyone working together we can look forward to a safe and fun match!
